Browse and Explore

When parents load Avela Explore, they’ll immediately see a list of schools or programs. There’s no need to log in, create an account, or answer an onerous list of questions before getting answers.

Clients can fully configure the results page to highlight the most important information to your families, such as address, school type, grade levels, report card score, distance, application deadline, and more!

Map

Toggle to a map view to see a beautiful view of all the schools on a map. Easily pinch to zoom in/out or click on a pin to dive deeper.

The map can also be configured to show district boundaries, neighborhoods, or walk zones. Pins are also customizable and can be colored to distinguish between school types (district/charter/private/etc), grade levels, or any other categorical data in the profile.

Avela Explore offer robust school profiles with school information that can be customized to highlight what's most important to families in the community.

School Profiles

Click on a school or its pin to view a customizable school profile, with beautiful cover images. Profiles make it easy for parents to understand eligibility and enrollment/application processes. It can even link directly to the application.

District leaders can customize profiles to highlight the most important information and organize it into tabs.

Filters and Search

Want to get specific? Dive into the filters to select specific properties, including eligibility, grade level, distance, school type, programs, and more.

District administrators can configure the data used for filters, including which options are provided.

Users can also search for anything contained in the school profile, including school or principal name, grade level (e.g. 8th grade, middle school, ECE), sports (e.g. tennis, football), after school activities (e.g. band, math team, forensics), courses (e.g. AP Calculus, Computer Science, or painting), and more!

Bookmarking and Ranking

Families can easily bookmark their favorite schools into a shortlist and then rank or recorder as necessary. They can easily send their list it to themselves via email or text, or print their list.

Avela’s intelligent guide predicts demand to help families understand the probability of admission and encourage sufficient applications.
